Originating from Northern California, Alaina moved to Portland in 2024 to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Biophysics at Oregon State University, aiming for an advanced degree in Neural Engineering. Alaina first began work focused on supporting the community back in 2018, working in a variety of environments focused on person centered advocacy for individuals with disabilities such as day programs, employment outreach, and in-home care. After obtaining her CNA license in 2021, she further expanded her experience in the medical field through work in pediatrics, skilled nursing, and hospice. After 7 years of providing care and support, she holds a strong passion for helping individuals she works alongside achieve their independence and autonomy and hopes to continue her work building bonds and advocating for others. Outside of work, Alaina is an avid bookworm and can often be found haunting the hallways of your local bookstore and seeking out the best Portland coffee spots.
